Artist's Comments

1/8th scale statue made from Super Sculpey, Magic-Sculp, wire mesh, blood, sweat, tears, and plenty of curse words.

This was my first time doing anything Spawn related so I spent a fair amount of time researching the toys, comics, etc. Although this piece is based on a comic cover I still did a fair amount of editing and design work to really make the transition to 3 dimensions. Plus the client I did it for really let me put my own stank on it, so although I think it's pretty faithful the to original comic design, I still feel like there's plenty of "me" in there as well.

I'm just glad it's done!

Spawn Statue - Full Body by ~No-Sign-of-Sanity contains a real great sense of the movement of the characters shroud. The fine detail work along with this almost makes the character appear as though caught in an ethrelic wind as he stares at the skull in his hand. (Featured by ^Thebuild)

Guys who can see so much intense detail get me nervous... Dating an artist might never be possible because I believe they notice every flaw.

It's that sort of attention to detail that makes this one kick ass sculpture. If I weren't so afraid of breaking it, I would want to poke it into an orifice or two... just slightly.

whoa McJesus thats good.

folds in the cape are crazy, and the anatomically correct tiny skull rocks!
:iconpadruig:
this is VERY VERY VERY good ...

for anyone who has seen the "Spawn" movie, you captured the character very well!

your own stank, huh? remind me to not get near it until it's had time to air off. this is beautiful. i'm so glad you got some shots from the top of it. you couldn't really see that in the one you submitted last night. you rock.

New goal for myself: learn how to sculpt. Maybe I could do something like this someday.
