1/8th scale statue made from Super Sculpey, Magic-Sculp, wire mesh, blood, sweat, tears, and plenty of curse words.
This was my first time doing anything Spawn related so I spent a fair amount of time researching the toys, comics, etc. Although this piece is based on a comic cover I still did a fair amount of editing and design work to really make the transition to 3 dimensions. Plus the client I did it for really let me put my own stank on it, so although I think it's pretty faithful the to original comic design, I still feel like there's plenty of "me" in there as well. I'm just glad it's done! It's that sort of attention to detail that makes this one kick ass sculpture. If I weren't so afraid of breaking it, I would want to poke it into an orifice or two... just slightly.
folds in the cape are crazy, and the anatomically correct tiny skull rocks!
